When Are the 2026 First Suhoor and 2026 First Iftar? (17-18 February)
Find out the 2026 first suhoor and first iftar times. This Ramadan, let us set up the first iftar tables together in Gaza and Africa with Kardeşim Association.
The calendar pages are advancing rapidly toward that blessed season. The month of Ramadan, which purifies our hearts and brings peace to our homes, is preparing to envelop our world with its spiritual climate. In this period, one of the most exciting times of the year for the Muslim world, the sweetest flutter of anticipation in our minds is over the 2026 first suhoor and iftar times.
This year, at our tables we will share not only bread and water; but also brotherhood, hope, and prayer. So, when are the suhoor, the first key to this gate of mercy, and the iftar, its first reward?
When Is the 2026 First Suhoor?
That first night on which we will enter the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan is the moment we renew our intentions. According to the calendar of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, the 2026 first suhoor will take place on the night connecting Tuesday, 17 February, to Wednesday, 18 February.
On that night, lights will be lit not only in Turkey, but also in the most remote corners of the Islamic world. While we rise for suhoor in our warm homes; Kardeşim Association teams will be making iftar and food parcel preparations for our brothers and sisters in the villages of Tanzania, Chad, or Niger that have no electricity, starting as early as suhoor. Those iftar meals prepared with your support may be the most filling meal a family eats all year. The blessing of the 2026 first suhoor will, by your means, cross borders and reach the tent of a Gazan refugee family who has taken shelter in Egypt as well.
When Is the 2026 First Iftar?
The intentions were made, the prayers were recited, and that patiently awaited moment arrived. The 2026 first iftar time, when we will break the year's first fast, will be observed on the evening of Wednesday, 18 February 2026, with the recitation of the evening call to prayer.
The excitement of the first iftar is something else entirely; that first date, that first sip of water... But there are millions of our brothers and sisters who experience this excitement with sorrow. As Kardeşim Association, this Ramadan we say "Brotherhood Knows No Borders" and set up our first iftar tables in Uganda, in Nigeria, and in refugee camps in Egypt for the people of Gaza.
While you wait for the call to prayer at home, thousands of kilometers away, at a table set with your donation, an orphan child you have never met will also be waiting for the same call to prayer. Being the smile on that child's face at the 2026 first iftar table, is it not more precious than all the blessings in the world?
How Wide Is Your Table This Ramadan?
Ramadan is the month not of hunger, but of understanding the state of the hungry. This year, while experiencing the excitement of 2026's first suhoor and first iftar, let us also include in this excitement the hearts in need of it.
A food parcel aid or an iftar donation that you make through Kardeşim Association can be a sprout of hope in the arid lands of Africa, a balm on the wounded hearts of Gaza. Come, in this first suhoor let our intention be not only to fast, but to hold the hand of a brother or sister of ours!
With the prayer that the blessed month of Ramadan brings goodness to the entire Islamic world...
